The SOSDG offers a free NTP service to the Internet community.  Our primary NTP server is located in Tacoma, WA and offers highly reliable stratum 2 service. In the future we may add more stratum 2 and 3 level servers as needed or as donated.

This service is provided under the following conditions:

1. Do not abuse the service with excessive queries. We regularly monitor the NTP server and will filter out IPs that make an abnormal about of NTP queries in a short period of time.
2. Please ask us first before using our NTP server, especially if you are using it with many clients.  You can use the contact form here to send us an e-mail easily.
3. This service may go away at any time or may be restricted to authorized users only in the future.  We offer a mailing list where we will make announcements of any changes.

We also offer the oppertunity for other stratum 2 NTP servers to peer with us as well as use authenticated connections on request.
